The plot where the building is set has a regular shape and a marked topography. It is located at an expanding area of the municipality, a place still devoid of identity and situated in the middle of its defining process. Therefore, our project takes into account the future works on the adjacent plots, so that the building will be integrated into the new urban fabric and not left as part of the city edge.

The plot is separated towardsthe south-east side by borders that divide the plot into two different areas: one for the primary school building and the other for the nursery play-zone and parking area.

The building is developed in two pieces. The nursery building has only one floor and it is placed in the south side. The primary school and administration building has two floors. These two pieces are separated by a gentle ramp that ends at the hall and that emphasizes the welcome area and the ‘teachers’ schoolyard’. This way, an excellent position of all the teaching pieces is achieved, by terracing the building and by opening playgrounds to the south.
