The architectonic solution adopted for this project tries to reach an agreement among the following facts: the geometry of the plot, the urban condition of the piece, an optimum usage of the building site, the building programme and the spatial quality of the dwellings.

The building’s outward aspect is a response to its urban condition and to our will for the integration of Pablo Picasso’s universal artistic identity to the historic patrimony of the city. For this reason, a fragment of the Guernica painting was taken and after a pixelization process, a mosaic whose pieces are orderly placed on the façade was obtained. This way, the creative process is covered in the opposite direction, from the masterpiece to the palette of this brilliant painter.
