SERVICE AND ASSISTANCE BUILDING IN CORDOBA
The new Transport Centre of Cordoba will be located to the west, between the road of Palma del Rio and the freight rail station of Higueron. The project proposed is a service and assistance building, placed at the main entrance as a leading gateway for the logistic park.
First of all, to meet the requirements the project must be built in three phases. Therefore, the geometry is generated by a series of yards and blocks.
Once it will be finished, the whole building will be a series of ordered blocks thanks to the lighting and layout.
The area assigned for the transit of peopleisa five floor height clearance room (buildings’ height), overlooked by corridors from where to access the offices. These corridors are randomly widened to generate waiting rooms. Thereby, the building plays the role of a small town for its users.
The glazed traffic areas are facing south and they act as a thermal cushion to balance the weather conditions with the inner comfort of the working areas.
