The two plots of the proposal are located in the north of the village of La Rinconada, in an area where a new planning is proposed, thus resolving the encounter between urban fabric and countryside.
In this new situation, the streets are opened to the country so that a really relevant connexion axis country-street-dwelling is formed. Furthermore, the urban scale and the low traffic of the area turn the street into an opportunity space, where the dwelling relationship with its environment becomes important.
The idea proposed is to build the sites with a series of linked volumes, both full and empty, which will structure the whole show flat. Such design is repeated up to the dividing wall, where it is modified to adapt the shape of the plot. The plot R2-1 takes advantage from the dividing wall to place an adapted dwelling for the disabled.
As a response to the points just explained, the proposed dwellings are based on a main idea: combine the need for privacy and the dwelling relationship with street. Therefore, the rooms which require a higher privacy level have been place on the inside of the dwelling, while spaces to make easier the transition from inside to outside have been opened.
